ABSTRACT
This research seeks to describe the Free Trade Ag e Agreement between Ecuador and China in the shrimp
sector of the Santa Rosa canton in 2024, to be able to guide the marketer in the commercial processes
in an agile and efficient manner with a special focus on the shrimp sector. The analysis highlights the
Santa Rosa canton, where it will be determined how the treaty can facilitate access to the Chinese market
and eliminate tariffs, which represents a significant opportunity for local producers. Through the use of
empirical methods, s hods, such a ch as observation and docum nd documentary study, r , results wi s will be pr e presented on e ed on e ed on exports o s of
the main product in recent years and an analysis of the commercialization of the product in the Chinese
market. The
signing

of the FTA has

generated

both

challenges

and benefits, such

as

the

reduction,
exemptions
or

eliminations

of

tariffs,

the

economic

development

of

the

country,

the

technical
requirements for the entry of the product and the dependence on the sale of products sent from Ecuador
to the Asian market. Although the benefits are attractive for the Ecuadorian exporter, it is also important
to be fully aware of the challenges that exist at the time of exporting and the convenience of selling this
product.
