La forma epistolar como herramienta de empoderamiento musical femenino en Alemania del siglo XIX
Resumen
Este trabajo examina la intersección entre la música, la escritura epistolar y las prácticas pedagógicas en la Alemania burguesa de principios del siglo XIX. Se centra en cómo estas dinámicas moldearon la subjetividad y la afición musical femenina. Se analizan tres tratados pedagógicos epistolares publicados entre 1803 y 1852: Briefe an Natalie über den Gesang (1803) de Nina d'Aubigny von Engelbrunner, Briefe über den Unterricht auf dem Pianoforte (ca. 1837) de Carl Czerny, y Acht Briefe an eine Freundin über Clavier-Unterricht (1852) de Johanna Kinkel. Se demuestra que los textos de d'Aubigny y Kinkel subvierten el uso de la carta para reorganizar la subjetividad encarnada de las mujeres y expandir sus prácticas musicales. El texto de Czerny, en contraste, ofrece un enfoque no feminista. A pesar de abrir la posibilidad de logros significativos, sus prescripciones disciplinarias enmarcan la musicalidad femenina dentro de limitaciones ideológicas y sociales. Este análisis revela la importancia crítica de considerar no solo el contexto social y cultural de los documentos y prácticas musicales, sino también las prácticas literarias y genéricas que los configuran y contribuyen a su significado.
