Industria 4.0 y economía circular: revisión de la literatura y recomendaciones para una industria sustentable en Ecuador

Resumen

La industria 4.0 y la economía circular son las dos áreas principales de la industria manufacturera actual. La adopción e implementación de la Industria 4.0 y la economía circular en todo el mundo aún se encuentran en una etapa incipiente de desarrollo. Para abordar esta brecha, el propósito de este artículo es realizar una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre la integración de la Industria 4.0 y la economía circular. Las revisiones de artículos indicaron que hay muy pocos estudios sobre la integración de la Industria 4.0 y la economía circular. Las tecnologías de la Industria 4.0, incluida la digitalización, el monitoreo en tiempo real y las capacidades de toma de decisiones, juegan un papel importante en la implementación de la economía circular.

El estudio reveló que pocos países en desarrollo han tomado iniciativas preliminares hacia la implementación de dichas áreas. La industria ecuatoriana se encuentra en vías de desarrollo y no tiene experiencia en la implementación de tecnologías relacionadas a la industria 4.0, en cuanto a la economía circular, no se tiene normalizado a nivel de políticas públicas, aunque Ecuador en su Constitución dispone de normas y políticas que defienden a la naturaleza o Pachamama como sujeto de protección.
