Gasto Público y Pobreza: Un Estudio de Mapeo Sistemático

Resumen

En este estudio, se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática de la literatura que aborda la relación entre el gasto público y la reducción de la pobreza, utilizando técnicas de minería de texto. Se examinaron un total de 24 artículos publicados entre 2015 y 2021, obtenidos de diversos buscadores académicos. Los métodos de análisis más frecuentemente empleados para investigar esta relación incluyeron modelos de regresión lineal, logística y mínimos cuadrados. Se destaca la importancia de medir la pobreza en cualquier contexto, ya que esto permite identificar los grupos más vulnerables mediante un diagnóstico de las carencias sociales que afectan a la población. A través de este estudio, se puede comprender mejor el impacto de las políticas públicas implementadas en áreas con altos índices de pobreza. Así, la identificación de la relación entre el gasto público y la reducción de la pobreza adquiere relevancia en la toma de decisiones por parte de quienes tienen la responsabilidad de asignar la inversión pública. Sin embargo, la literatura revisada sugiere que simplemente aumentar el gasto público no es suficiente para resolver los problemas de pobreza; si bien es un factor necesario, otras estrategias pueden ser igualmente importantes para lograr una reducción significativa de la pobreza.
