El Impacto del uso Excesivo del Teléfono Inteligente en el Rendimiento Académico: Una Revisión Sistemática de la Literatura
Resumen
El uso de los teléfonos inteligentes ha crecido de manera significativa en las familias modernas, siendo los adolescentes los principales usuarios. Este estudio tiene como objetivo explorar cómo la adicción o uso excesivo de los teléfonos inteligentes afecta diversas áreas del desarrollo cognitivo y físico de los jóvenes. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura siguiendo la metodología PRISMA, lo que permitió incluir 22 estudios que proporcionaron información detallada sobre esta relación. Los estudios se clasificaron en dos ejes temáticos principales, los que aportaban información sobre las consecuencias del uso excesivo de teléfonos inteligentes y los estudios que tenían información sobre las causas. Entre los factores desencadenantes se identificaron la alta accesibilidad, presión social, búsqueda de entretenimiento e incluso soledad, mientras que las consecuencias abarcan desde problemas psicológicos y dificultades académicas hasta alteraciones en el sueño y la socialización. Los estudios destacan la necesidad de una mayor educación y concienciación tanto en los jóvenes como en sus familias sobre los riesgos asociados con el uso excesivo de estos dispositivos, así como la importancia de abordar esta problemática de manera integral e involucrar docentes, profesionales de la salud mental y los padres de los jóvenes para mitigar los efectos negativos y fomentar un desarrollo mas saludable para los adolescentes. Los hallazgos de esta revisión mejoran la comprensión de cómo el uso excesivo de los teléfonos inteligentes impacta la vida de los jóvenes y proporcionan una base sólida para desarrollar estrategias efectivas de prevención e intervención.
