La Inserción de las Ciencias de la Complejidad en la Economía: Implicaciones para el Desarrollo y la Desigualdad

Resumen

El presente análisis examina cómo las ciencias de la complejidad se han insertado en las ciencias sociales, en particular en la economía, lo que ha permitido revitalizar el interés en el estudio del desarrollo económico desde perspectivas más integrales. En este contexto, la complejidad económica es un enfoque que ha ido cobrando importancia en la última década gracias al aumento de investigaciones empíricas que exploran su relación con diversas variables económicas y sociales. El propósito de este documento es investigar los orígenes, evolución y las principales líneas de investigación de la teoría de la complejidad económica. A través del análisis de los diversos estudios empíricos realizados hasta el momento, se pretende establecer una base conceptual sólida y actualizada sobre este tema. Además, se señalan vacíos teóricos y prácticos, abriendo las puertas a futuras investigaciones que profundicen en su aplicación, especialmente en contextos como el mexicano, donde la complejidad económica puede ofrecer herramientas fundamentales para abordar problemas como la desigualdad de ingresos y las disparidades regionales.
