Inteligencia emocional y habilidades sociales en estudiantes de un centro de educación superior privado de Lima, Perú

Resumen

El estudio buscó determinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y las habilidades sociales en estudiantes de una institución de educación superior privada en Lima, Perú. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo, con un estudio de tipo básico, diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional y de corte transversal. La población estuvo compuesta por 260 estudiantes, de los cuales se obtuvo una muestra de 140 mediante muestreo no probabilístico intencional. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta, mediante cuestionario virtual enviado vía Google Forms. Los hallazgos indicaron que la inteligencia emocional predominó en nivel deficiente (57.1%), mientras que las habilidades sociales se encontraron en nivel débil (65.0%). Asimismo, el coeficiente de Spearman obtenido fue de 0.354, con nivel de significancia de 0.000, inferior a 0.05, lo que confirma la existencia de una relación significativa entre la inteligencia emocional y las habilidades sociales en los estudiantes analizados.
