Factores de Riesgo para Neumonía Asociada a Cuidados de la Salud en Recién Nacidos
Resumen
Introducción: Las infecciones asociadas a cuidados de la salud son una de las complicaciones de la atención relacionadas primordialmente a la realización de procedimientos invasivos, Dentro de estas infecciones la neumonía tiene relevancia significativa. Objetivo: Identificar factores de riesgo para el desarrollo de neumonía en recién nacidos en el HGZ No. 20 IMSS La Margarita. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio de casos y controles, observacional, transversal, unicéntrico, prospectivo, homodémico en los servicios de unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales y cunero patológico. El análisis estadístico se realizó mediante regresión logística. Para evaluar los factores de riesgo se empleo razón de momios (OR). Se utilizo el Software SPSS. Resultados: Se incluyeron 136 pacientes. De las variables evaluadas para determinar riesgo fueron el peso, dispositivo intravascular, empleo de nutrición parenteral, tipo de alimentación, transfusión, ventilación mecánica, y en pacientes con ventilación invasiva (61.7%) se evaluaron eventos de re-intubación. Conclusiones: El factor de riesgo independiente para el desarrollo de neumonía fue el uso de asistencia a la ventilación de forma invasiva, y en los pacientes que requirieron este tipo de ventilación los eventos de re-intubación representaron mayor riesgo.
