Estación de Transferencia de Residuos Sólidos: Infraestructura Estratégica para el Corredor Interoceánico del Istmo de Tehuantepec en El Espinal, Oaxaca

Resumen

El inadecuado manejo de los Residuos Sólidos Urbanos (RSU) en El Espinal, Oaxaca, representa una crisis sanitaria que compromete la competitividad regional. Ante la inminente reactivación económica impulsada por el Corredor Interoceánico del Istmo de Tehuantepec (CIIT), esta investigación presenta el diseño técnico-operativo de una Estación de Transferencia como infraestructura estratégica de saneamiento y ordenamiento territorial. Mediante un diagnóstico situacional y caracterización de residuos, se identificó una generación diaria de 8.73 toneladas con una predominancia del 68% de materia orgánica, estableciendo la segregación en la fuente y el tratamiento biológico como las rutas tecnológicas óptimas. Los resultados proyectados validan una reducción del volumen de disposición final de hasta un 30% (desvío de 2.6 t/día), optimizando drásticamente los costos logísticos de transporte y mitigando la emisión de Gases de Efecto Invernadero. La propuesta integra un eje transversal de educación ambiental para asegurar la sostenibilidad del sistema. Se concluye que el proyecto es técnica y financieramente viable, posicionando al municipio en un modelo de economía circular indispensable para el desarrollo urbano resiliente del Istmo.
