Danza Recreativa, Imagen Corporal, Autoeficacia y Bienestar Subjetivo: Una Revisión
Resumen
Las intervenciones basadas en la danza han sido estudiadas por el impacto positivo que generan en la imagen corporal, la autoeficacia y el bienestar subjetivo en adultos jóvenes. En esta revisión sistemática se analizaron estudios publicados entre 2014 y 2024 en las bases de datos Dimensions, Scopus, Web of Science y PubMed, siguiendo las directrices PRISMA. Se incluyeron únicamente estudios de tipo cuasiexperimental o experimental que evaluaran estas variables en poblaciones de adultos jóvenes no profesionales de la danza. De los 650 registros identificados, solo cuatro cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y muestran una alta calidad metodológica. Los resultados indican que la práctica del baile mejora significativamente la percepción de la imagen corporal y el bienestar subjetivo además de favorecer la autoestima, la autopercepción del atractivo y la reducción del estrés; sin embargo, en relación con la autoeficacia, la evidencia es bastante limitada. A pesar de los beneficios que genera, las investigaciones en este campo siguen siendo escasas, especialmente en Latinoamérica, lo que evidencia la necesidad de realizar estudios adicionales con muestras más amplias, duración más extensa y la inclusión de componentes psicológicos que aumenten los efectos positivos de la danza en la salud mental.
