Burnout: impacto en la Satisfacción Laboral de docentes universitarios en Yucatán
Resumen
Este artículo analiza el Burnout y su relación con la Satisfacción Laboral en docentes universitarios. Participaron 192 docentes seleccionados mediante un muestro probabilístico de una universidad pública de Yucatán. Se les administró el cuestionario para la evaluación del Burnout o Síndrome de quemarse por el trabajo (CESQT) de Gil-Monte y Olivares Faúndez (2011) y el instrumento para Satisfacción Laboral de Peiró (1989) versión corta (S10/12). En términos de resultados el Burnout se asoció a formas negativas de afrontar el trabajo, como insatisfacción laboral y bajo compromiso organizacional. Los hallazgos muestran la importancia del bienestar laboral, ya que los docentes representan un sector particular y vulnerable. Las demandas laborales actuales ejercen un incremento en la sobrecarga emocional y una mayor presión en las actividades de enseñanza, investigación y gestión. Es fundamental proporcionar los apoyos adecuados y fomentar un entorno propicio que contribuya a la evolución de la educación superior.
