Funcionalidad Antes y Después de un Programa de Rehabilitación Institucional en Trabajadores con Patología Traumática de Mano
Resumen
Antecedentes: Los traumatismos de mano son comunes y provocan una discapacidad funcional prolongada, lo que dificulta significativamente la reincorporación laboral del paciente. Objetivo: Evaluar el cambio en la funcionalidad de trabajadores con lesiones manuales tras aplicar un programa de rehabilitación institucional. Material y Métodos: Se realizó un estudio observacional y comparativo en el Hospital General de Zona No. 20 del IMSS en Puebla (enero-junio 2025). Se evaluó a pacientes adultos utilizando el cuestionario DASH en dos momentos: en la consulta inicial y al terminar el primer ciclo de tratamiento fisiátrico. Los datos se analizaron mediante la prueba de Wilcoxon. Resultados: Participaron 121 trabajadores (edad media de 36.8 años; 56.9% hombres). La mayoría eran empleados con nivel universitario. Al contrastar las evaluaciones, el 88.7% evolucionó de una "mala funcionalidad" inicial a niveles "buenos" o "excelentes". Esta mejoría clínica pre y post-intervención resultó estadísticamente significativa (p < 0.001). Conclusión: Se comprobó que la implementación de programas de rehabilitación institucional mejora de forma significativa y efectiva la capacidad funcional en pacientes afectados por trauma de mano.
