Nivel de conocimiento sobre Lactancia Materna del personal Médico Familiar y Enfermería
Resumen
La lactancia materna representa una práctica esencial con beneficios consistentes para madre e hijo. El personal de salud ocupa una posición estratégica para la consejería y resolución de dificultades con la lactancia materna; sin embargo, en el personal estudiado no se cuenta con una medición objetiva para conocer su nivel real de preparación, dificultando el diseño de intervenciones educativas dirigidas, estructuradas y basadas en necesidades reales, impactando en la promoción efectiva de la lactancia materna. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre la lactancia materna en el personal médico familiar y enfermería. Material y métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, observacional, analítico y transversal, no experimental, realizado en personal médico familiar y de enfermería. Se aplicó encuesta validada ECOLA a 139 participantes (agosto 2024–julio 2025). Análisis descriptivo y bivariado, significancia p≤0.05, mediante SPSS. Aprobación ética institucional y consentimiento informado. Resultados: El 51.1% presentó nivel moderado de conocimiento; 27.3% bajo; 20.9% alto y 0.7% nulo. Muestra conformada por 79.9% personal de enfermería y 20.1% médicos. No se identificaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre grupos (χ² = 2.84; p = 0.24). No hubo correlación entre antigüedad y conocimiento (Spearman r = −0.059; p = 0.47). Conclusión: Se identifico un nivel moderado de conocimientos en lactancia materna, siendo necesario fortalecer estrategias formativas continuas para el desarrollo de habilidades prácticas y educativas.
