Las actividades físico-recreativas en los adultos mayores y su relación con el estrés durante el confinamiento por el covid-19

Resumen

La presente investigación analiza el contexto de un grupo considerado vulnerable en un ambiente de confinamiento con altos niveles de estrés, enfrentado por una amenaza global en los últimos meses por la enfermedad del Coronavirus 2019 (COVID -19), causado por el SARS-CoV-2. El objetivo fue el de determinar la influencia de las actividades físico recreativas en los adultos mayores en los niveles de estrés durante el confinamiento por el Covid-19. La investigación se presenta con un carácter cualitativo de tipo transversal exploratorio, con los instrumentos fueron aplicados en forma individual a los Adultos Mayores de la Unidad de Atención Al Final del Camino de la Parroquia Gabriel Ignacio Veintimilla y a los Adultos Mayores de la Fundación Su Cambio por el Cambio de la Parroquia San Simón. Los instrumentos que se utilizaron en la investigación fueron para la variable independiente el Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE) Escala de actividad física para personas mayores (PASE) y en el caso de la variable dependiente la Zung Depression Scale (Escala de Autoevaluación para la Depresión de Zung). Se determina que 37 sujetos adultos mayores de la población de estudio que representa un 92,5% se muestra ligeramente deprimido. Prueba t para muestras relacionadas” y verificado su nivel de significancia se determina que la práctica de Actividades Físico-Recreativas disminuyen los niveles de estrés en los adultos mayores durante el confinamiento de la Covid-19.
