Carcinoma papilar de tiroides de células altas más tiroidectomía total en paciente femenina de 16 años. Reporte de caso
Resumen
El carcinoma papilar de tiroides representa 83% de los carcinomas tiroideos. Es un tumor maligno y bien diferenciado de células foliculares, con patrón de crecimiento en papilas que tiene características nucleares específicas. Se han documentado en la actualidad más de 10 variantes anatomo-patológicas, la mayoría presenta un curso indolente, con mortalidad muy baja. Sin embargo, otras como la variante de células altas, columnar y esclerosante difuso, tienen un comportamiento más agresivo y resultados más desfavorables en la evolución. En los últimos años, el enfrentamiento clínico a esta neoplasia se ha hecho problemático dado el aumento exponencial en su diagnóstico. Se Reporta un caso de una paciente femenina de 16 años que presenta una masa indoloro localiza en el cuello de dos años de evolución, acompañado de pérdida de peso.
