El aprendizaje basado en problemas como estrategia para el desarrollo del bilingüismo en los Estados Unidos
Resumen
El desarrollo del la enseñanza del español como segunda Lengua en Estados Unidos enfrenta importantes desafíos, dada la importante demanda y las tendencias pedagógicas y comunicativas que vive el sistema educativo, por tanto se presentan los resultados de esta investigación, construida en el marco de la Tesis doctoral realizada con el objetivo de analizar la problemática de la enseñanza- aprendizaje del español como segunda lengua nivel III en la escuela secundaria Indian Land en de este país. Para estos efectos se diseñó una metodología cualitativa desde un modelo de investigación Acción participativa, con técnicas de observación de las prácticas de enseñanza y entrevistas a los actores educativos involucrados en dichos procesos. Dentro de los resultados mas relevantes se destaca que la metodología de transmisión-recepción tradicional se utilizó en todas las clases observadas, así como la de Gramática-Traducción, lo que representa una perspectiva tradicional de la enseñanza del español en este nivel, razón por la cual el Aprendizaje Basado en Problema resulta importante para resignificar los programas de Bilingiuismo en esta institución y a nivel nacional para mejorar las competencias de comunicación en estos contextos.
