Necrólisis epidérmica toxica en un paciente de 13 años

Resumen

La Necrolisis Epidermica Tóxica (NET) es una entidad cutánea debida a hipersensibilidad retardada frecuentemente ante medicamentos, y posee una incidencia de aproximadamente 1 caso por cada millón de personas. Presentamos el caso de un paciente de 13 años de edad con antecedente de síndrome convulsivo tratado con ácido valproico, el cual 15 días después del cambio de medicamento a fenitoína comienza a presentar sintomatología propia de la enfermedad. Es ingresado y el tratamiento se encuentra a cargo de pediatría, inmunología, oftalmología y cirugía plástica.
