Aplicación del Metotrexato en el Tratamiento de Embarazos Ectópicos
Resumen
Introducción: El embarazo extrauterino se da cuando el zigoto implantado se encuentra fuera de la cavidad uterina, generalmente en las tubas uterinas. Esta situación puede ser crítica y amenazar la supervivencia de la mujer. El metotrexato es una terapia farmacológica que se ha aplicado con éxito para la resolución del embarazo extrauterino. La finalidad de esta indagación es valorar la eficacia y seguridad del metotrexato en la terapia del embarazo extrauterino. Para lo cual se llevó a cabo un análisis de tipo observacional donde se examinaron las bases de datos como PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus y Web of Science cubriendo un total de 48 citas bibliográficas. Los hallazgos de las múltiples investigaciones revelaron que el 87% de las pacientes tratadas con metotrexato lograron una resolución exitosa del embarazo extrauterino sin requerir intervención quirúrgica. Además, se registró que el metotrexato fue bien admitido por la mayoría de las pacientes y que las complicaciones fueron escasas. En conclusión, este análisis sugiere que el metotrexato es una alternativa segura y eficaz para la terapia del embarazo extrauterino. Es crucial tener en cuenta que cada situación es única y que la elección de utilizar metotrexato debe ser tomada por un facultativo tras una evaluación meticulosa de los riesgos y beneficios para cada paciente en particular.
