Tuberculosis Miliar en Paciente Pediátrico

Resumen
Este artículo aborda la tuberculosis miliar en un paciente pediátrico, destacando la importancia de un enfoque multidisciplinario en su diagnóstico y tratamiento. El objetivo del trabajo es identificar el cuadro clínico, diagnóstico y el rol de enfermería en el manejo de la tuberculosis miliar en niños. Se implementó una metodología retrospectiva y observacional, analizando datos provenientes de la historia clínica y entrevista a familiares. Los principales hallazgos incluyen la efectividad del tratamiento antifímico de primera línea administrado mediante el método de observación directa (DOT), que mejoró la adherencia al tratamiento. El rol de enfermería fue crucial, utilizando el Modelo de Promoción de la Salud para educar a los cuidadores y fomentar la adherencia al tratamiento. La rehabilitación física y el apoyo emocional también se identificaron como componentes esenciales para la recuperación integral del paciente. Estos resultados subrayan la necesidad de estrategias diagnósticas adaptadas y un seguimiento riguroso en poblaciones pediátricas vulnerables para reducir la mortalidad asociada a esta enfermedad.
