Calidad de Vida Relacionada con la Salud en Pacientes Oncológicos: Revisión de la Literatura 2020–2025
Resumen
Introducción: El cáncer representa una de las principales causas de carga global de enfermedad, y su creciente supervivencia ha desplazado el foco hacia la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud (HRQoL) como indicador esencial del bienestar del paciente. La HRQoL integra dimensiones físicas, emocionales, sociales y funcionales, y su medición mediante instrumentos validados se ha convertido en un componente clave de la práctica oncológica contemporánea. Objetivo: Describir la evidencia reciente (2020–2025) sobre HRQoL en adultos con cáncer, los instrumentos más utilizados y los factores asociados a su variación. Métodos: Revisión narrativa de literatura en PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science y SciELO, incluyendo estudios en inglés o español publicados entre 2020 y 2025 que evaluaron HRQoL con instrumentos validados (EORTC QLQ-C30, FACT-G, EQ-5D, PROMIS). Resultados: Se incluyeron 18 estudios multicéntricos y regionales. El EORTC QLQ-C30 fue el instrumento más empleado, seguido de FACT-G, EQ-5D-5L y PROMIS. Los dominios físicos suelen recuperarse tras el tratamiento, mientras que los emocionales y sociales permanecen más afectados. Factores como estadio avanzado, toxicidad, ansiedad y bajo nivel socioeconómico se asociaron con peor HRQoL. La puntuación resumen del QLQ-C30 mostró valor pronóstico en supervivencia. Intervenciones como rehabilitación oncológica, psico-oncología y tele-PROMs demostraron mejoras clínicamente significativas. Conclusión: La HRQoL se consolidó entre 2020–2025 como un indicador clínico y pronóstico esencial en oncología. Se requieren más estudios longitudinales y validaciones regionales, especialmente en América Latina.
