Propiedades Psicométricas de la Escala de Aprecio de la Funcionalidad en Adolescentes Mexicanos
Resumen
El objetivo de este estudio fue validar la Escala de Aprecio de la Funcionalidad (FAS; Alleva et al., 2017) El análisis factorial se realizó en una muestra de 445 adolescentes mexicanos (MD =16.25). El modelo se unificó como unidimensional presentando un buen ajuste (χ²14) = 31.94, CFI = .999, TLI = .998, RMSEA = .054, SRMR = .031). La escala mostró consistencia interna adecuada (ω = .91), la invarianza demuestra que la escala se puede aplicar tanto en hombres como en mujeres. Los análisis separados por grupo indicaron ajuste aceptable tanto en mujeres (RMSEA = .056, CFI = .999, TLI = .998), como en hombres (RMSEA = .026, CFI = 1.000, TLI = 1.000). Asimismo, se observaron correlaciones positivas con el aprecio corporal (p = .582 .) y negativas con la insatisfacción corporal (p = –.435), lo que respalda su validez convergente y discriminante. En conjunto, la FAS se presenta como un instrumento breve, confiable y culturalmente adecuado para evaluar el aprecio de la funcionalidad corporal en adolescentes mexicanos.
