Temblor como Manifestación Motora de Múltiples Enfermedades, Compresión de sus Mecanismos y Manejo Integral

Resumen

El temblor es el trastorno del movimiento más frecuente en la práctica clínica. Una amplia gama de patologías puede manifestarse con temblor como síntoma de presentación o predominante. Considerando la marcada heterogeneidad etiológica y fenomenológica, sería deseable desarrollar una clasificación de los temblores que refleje su fisiopatología subyacente. El grupo de trabajo sobre temblores de la Sociedad Internacional de Enfermedades de Parkinson y Trastornos del Movimiento ha trabajado hacia este objetivo y ha propuesto un nuevo sistema de clasificación. Este sistema ha seguido siendo un tema principal de las comunicaciones científicas sobre el temblor en los últimos tiempos. La nueva clasificación se basa en dos ejes: 1. en función de las características clínicas, la historia y el temblor y 2 en función de la etiología del temblor.
