Estilos de Liderazgo en Laicos Católicos de la Región de Veracruz: Un Análisis Post-Conciliar hacia la Sinodalidad

Resumen

El presente estudio analiza los estilos de liderazgo predominantes en los laicos católicos de la zona centro de Veracruz (México) en el contexto post-Concilio Vaticano II y la actual promoción de la sinodalidad. A través de un enfoque cuantitativo basado en el Cuestionario de Estilos de Liderazgo de Northouse (2021), se encuestó a 128 participantes, mayoritariamente laicos (99.2%) residentes en esta región. Los resultados revelan un predominio inesperado del estilo Laissez-Faire (77.2% como estilo dominante), superando significativamente a los estilos Democrático (12.6%) y Autoritario (10.2%). A pesar de la literatura que sugiere una transición hacia modelos transformacionales y democráticos para fomentar la corresponsabilidad eclesial, los datos indican una tendencia hacia la autonomía operativa y una menor intervención directiva local. El estudio discute estos hallazgos a la luz de la historia del catolicismo social en el país, la resistencia al clericalismo y la necesidad de formación en liderazgo ignaciano. Se concluye que, aunque existe un rechazo al autoritarismo, el alto índice de liderazgo delegativo plantea desafíos para la cohesión comunitaria requerida en una Iglesia sinodal.
